Saint Luke's Health System named Darren Bass as CEO of its North Region. In the position, Bass oversees Saint Luke's North Hospital-Barry Road and Saint Luke's North Hospital-Smithville. Rated together as Saint Luke's North Hospital, they have 160 patient beds and ranked No. 14 on the Kansas City Business Journal 's list of area acute-care general hospitals, based on 2021 admissions of 7,089. He succeeds Adele Ducharme, who served in the position for more than a decade, according to a release. Bass previously was vice president of clinical services for CoxHealth in Springfield, Missouri.
